Ally Sheedy is returning to USA’s Psych. The former brat pack member has had an interesting storyline on the series in past episodes, popping up as the partner of a chaotic serial killer in a position that eventually landed her in jail. There’s no word on what sort of shenanigans her upcoming role will get her into, but Sheedy will be returning to the series to reprise her role as Yang in a very special episode. I wonder which side of the jail cell she’ll join the cast from.
According to TV Line, the Psych crew was keeping Yang’s return under the radar. In a move that was pretty unlucky for USA, but pretty lucky for fans who love spoiler alerts, Psych cast member Dule Hill announced the famed character’s return via Twitter on Wednesday. The Psych people are obviously not too mad about the cat being let out of the bag, because they even retweeted the young star’s sentiment from the official Psych account.
The tweet revealed Sheedy will not only be returning to the program and reprising her role, she will also be involved in a very special episode. Yup, Ally Sheedy will be returning for none other than the much-anticipated musical episode in Season 7. She’ll join the already announced Barry Bostwick in the musical show that is expected to be two hours long. Season 7 is set to begin airing sometime this winter, but until then we’ll keep you posted on any epic musical episode details that waft our way.
