Not only has CBS released the names of the people among the eleven teams set to race around the world for The Amazing Race’s 19th season, but they’ve also thrown a new twist into the competition, called the “Hazard.” Unfortunately, they were vague on details as to what the penalty actually does.
The network did say that we’ll be seeing a demonstration of the “Hazard” penalty early on, stating, it “will impact one Team's future on the Race right from the starting line.” Interesting. I haven’t seen every season of TAR, not only because Sunday nights are packed, but also because CBS’ Sunday night primetime line-up has proven to be unreliable due to sports broadcasts bumping everything off schedule (occasionally leaving my DVR full of partial news broadcasts and half-episodes of 60 Minutes. I do recall a season when a team was eliminated not long after the race began, so who knows what this “Hazard” thing can do?
Moving on to the teams, TAR’s 19th season includes the youngest person ever to sail around the globe, a pair of Olympians, and a former NFL Tight End. Below is the info released on them.
