CBS has announced the eleven teams that will make up the upcoming 21st season of The Amazing Race. Among them, a heavy metal rocker, a double amputee, and a set of Chippendales dancers. There's also a twist this season that could have a major impact on the grand prize. Details ahead!
On the subject of the twist, CBS announced today that the million dollar grand prize could be doubling:
Two million dollars would be a neater split between two people than one! We'll have to see if whichever team wins the first leg manages to hold their lead, or at the very least, stay in the game until the end.
And speaking of teams, this year's set of contestants include a pair of Chippendales dancers, married monster truckers, a world champion lumberjack, a double amputee professional snowboarder, and Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge ("The Fabulous Beekman Boys.") There's also James LoMenzo, the 53-year-old former band member of White Lion and Megadeth. Rock on!
The Amazing Race Season 21 premieres Sunday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
