While American Horror Story fans living in the States have been treated to a slew of creepy but short glimpses at the new season of the series, but American Horror Story: Freak Show fans in Greece have finally been treated to the full and extended trailer for the series, which you can catch, below.
We know that American Horror Story: Freak Show will be chock full of crazy specimens, from creepy clowns to three-legged trapeze swingers, but the new trailer is especially revealing, as it gives us behind-the-scenes glimpses at many of the show’s leads. There’s Kathy Bates playing the Bearded Lady, Michael Chiklis as the Strongman, Angela Bassett as a woman with extra assets, and Sarah Paulson playing the previously announced conjoined twins, Bette and Dot. Unless you count the workout and a romantic affair, most of the leads seem to be lounging in the big top, but I'm pretty sure there will be much more going on when the show begins airing.
Despite not having any noticeable deformities, Jessica Lange is still the center of attention in the trailer. She’s the veritable Madame of the Freak Show, and she has on a long and glorious pinstriped gown to prove it. She’s not doing much in the extended trailer, just sashaying around in the background, maybe preparing to introduce the show? Part of the trailer features old-timey photos of each of the cast members, and you can check out the great gown in Lange’s.
In the final moments of the trailer, the Big Top is pulled is pulled down, presumably to move on to the next town and the next show. It's a shame we don't get to spend more time with some of the show's additional characters. I would love to have seen Wes Bentley do a little tormenting as Eddie in the trailer. It's tough to get a ton of information into a one-minute trailer, and I guess I'm just thankful the trailer is more than ten seconds long, this time around.
We’ll finally get to see what the new episodes of American Horror Story have in store when Freak Show premieres on FX this fall. New episode will hit the schedule on Wednesday, October 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
