Anchorman To Air On ABC Next Month
“There was a time, a time before cable. When the local anchorman reigned supreme. When people believed everything they heard on TV. This was an age when only men were allowed to read the news. And in San Diego, one anchorman was more man then the rest. His name was Ron Burgundy. He was like a god walking amongst mere mortals. He had a voice that could make a wolverine purr and suits so fine they made Sinatra look like a hobo. In other words, Ron Burgundy was the balls.”
For those of you interested in attending Brick’s pants party, you might want to check out ABC's Saturday Night Movie of the Week this April as the network announced they’ll be airing Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. For those of you uninterested in watching a funny movie about a bunch of sexist, egotistical news anchors from the ‘70’s, it’d probably be a good idea to watch something else on Saturday, April 10th.
ABC announced today that Anchorman will be airing as the “ABC Saturday Movie of the Week.” Set to air on APRIL 10 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), the comedy stars Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, a top-rated news anchor in San Diego in the ‘70’s whose world is rocked when Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate) shows up with aspirations of being a female news anchor.
Below is the theatrical trailer for the movie.
