Anna Camp To Return To True Blood For Season 6
It wasn't surprising that Anna Camp seemed to have no shortage of job offers once her run on True Blood wrapped up. Not only is she beautiful, but she's proven to have a knack for comedy, which has served her well in her appearances in The Office and The Mindy Project, not to mention her starring role in Pitch Perfect. But what's become of Sarah Newlin, the reverend's wife? We know her husband underwent a few major life (and death) changes, but what ever happened to his peppy wife? It looks like we'll find out in the vampire series' sixth season.
TVLine has reported that Camp is coming back to True Blood this summer to reprise her role as Sarah Newlin for a guest spot. The site speculates that she'll have a run-in with her ex-husband, who's now a vampire, and also gay. They weren't getting along so well the last time we saw them together, so I can only imagine how she'd react to him now that he's a vampire. And then, of course, there's Jason, with whom Sarah shared a few steamy moments, including one involving a bath tub, if memory serves.
There's potential for great humor with Camp's return. And given how funny Newlin has been as a vampire, I sort of wish we'd get a look at the bubbly and decidedly anti-vampire woman in fangs.
Just last week, we learned that True Blood would be returning for Season 6 on June 16, and that Brothers & Sisters' Luke Grimes would be guest starring. That news was soon followed up with a teaser for the series. Word of Camp's return is definitely one more reason to look forward to the HBO drama's return.
