Anna Kournikova Exits The Biggest Loser
If you were enjoying Anna Kournikova on The Biggest Loser this season, there’s bad news. The tennis pro will not be returning next season to resume her duties as trainer for the weight-loss hopefuls.
Kournikova was a new addition to the popular competitive weight loss series in its twelfth season. She was brought on board the NBC series to take over for Jillian Michaels, however, per Deadline, she will not be back. The other two trainers on the series, Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince, will be back for Season 13, and are already currently filming the next installment of the series.
Deadline’s report on Kournikova’s departure is vague and doesn’t specify whether the tennis star’s departure was her own choice or the producers’ decision to go in a new direction. The brief statement made by Kournikova says that she enjoyed her time on the Biggest Loser ranch, going on to say, “Although I will not be returning as a full time trainer on season 13, I will always be a part of The Biggest Loser family and my commitment to bettering lives through health and fitness will continue.”
?I’m sure fans of hers will be disappointed to see her go, and fans of the series will be curious to learn who will be stepping up to fill her role as trainer on the series.
