Arrow 'The Promise' Photos Show A Lot Of Slade, Episode Description Teases A Turning Point
Read no further if you're not caught up on Arrow through tonight's "Time of Death" episode! This may especially be the case if you turned on CW tonight and found basketball instead of Arrow...
Seriously, spoilers ahead.
CW released some photos from next week's "The Promise," along with an episode description that gives us some clues as to what's going on in the past and present. The above photo appears to be past-Oliver, hooded up. While this next one is most definitely present, as it shows us Roy looking hooded himself and broody as usual as he walks away from Sara and Diggle...
But let's talk about Slade. The description below begins with "The Turning Point" and then tells us that Oliver is shocked -- understandably so -- to learn that Slade is in Starling City. Meanwhile, in the past, Oliver's faced with having to decide whether or not to kill Ivo to keep him from revealing the situation with Shado, which could set the already-unstable Slade off...
The photos indicate that Slade's looking suited up and dapper, and on good terms with Moira Queen...
But maybe Thea's not such a fan?
She's looking a little distrusting there, no?

And on the island side of things, we have this shot...
Do you think maybe he found out the full story about Shado? Because that looks like the fact of a man who just found something out that he didn't like.
And this looks like the back of a guy with a green hooded shirt on...
CW's photo caption actually confirms that's Stephen Amell's back to us. So it may be safe to say some confrontation is happening here. But like the description notes, the Mirakuru is making Slade unpredictable. For all we know, Slade could be mad that Oliver drank the last coconut... or whatever it is they're drinking over on that island.
Before we get to the rest of the photos, which you can find in the gallery below, here's one of the recent posts from Stephen Amell's Facebook Page. This way to Central City!
