Awkward Season 3 Fall Trailer Teases More Drama For Jenna
Spoilers if you aren't caught up on Awkward through this week's summer finale!
The first half of Awkward's third season went by way too fast, and now we're left hanging on a major arc between Jenna and a certain intellectually stimulating individual who's driving a wedge between her and Matty. Unacceptable. Alas, there's nothing we can do but wait and hope that everything will work out. But judging by the above preview for the second half of Season 3, things are only going to get worse before they get better.
Awkward is a series that revels in the humor and frustration of adolescence. There wouldn't be much of a series if Jenna did everything right. But last night's summer finale had Jenna crossing a major line, giving in to her attraction to Collin and kissing him after he gave her some spiel about choosing herself (which really meant, choose him). The whole thing seems set up for a mistake, as opposed to some romantic secret relationship, which may or may not be how Jenna perceives it. From the preview (via TVLine) for Season 3.5, it looks like this indiscretion isn't a one shot deal, and Jenna's infidelity may snowball into bigger issues for her relationship with Matty and with her friends too.
Also, she gets "almost arrested," which is actually different from actually getting arrested, but leave it to Tamara to crank up the drama. But drama may be in order here, especially considering the preview indicates that Jenna's relationship with Matty may not be the only one on the verge of collapse. Things with her friends and her mother seems strained as well. There's plenty to ponder while we wait for the MTV series to return for the second half of Season 3 this fall.
