BBC America Provides A Peek At Their First Original Scripted Series, Copper
Yesterday we gave you a look-see at the cast of BBC America's upcoming drama Ripper Street, which follows three detectives charged with solving the Jack the Ripper murders in 1899 London. Ripper Street is still months away, but BBC America's first original scripted drama is yet another period drama set in the 19th century.
The crime drama Copper was created by Homicide: Life on the Street's Tom Fontana and Barry Levinson, and Monster's Ball writer Will Rokos. Set in 1860s New York, the show will star Tom Weston-Jones as an Irish-American cop working in the city's Five Points neighborhood. Entertainment Weekly has nabbed a first look at the series, as well as a concrete premiere date. Copper will arrive on BBC America on Sunday, August 19th. Here's a look at Weston-Jones and Kevin Ryan, who is playing his partner.
