Big Brother 16 Live Feed Spoilers: Feeds Are Down Until Tuesday Night, Here's Why

During last week's live Big Brother episode, Julie Chen laid out the next few episodes' worth of events. That includes two evictions this week, the first of which will air tomorrow night. It's looking like Tuesday night's eviction will be pre-taped and may actually be happening in the Big Brother house now. As Live Feed subscribers can attest, the feeds went down around noon today, Eastern Standard Time. A ticker scrolling over the screen confirms that they won't be back until after Tuesday night's episode. That's a pretty good indication that the next eviction will be happening today while the feeds are down.

For reference, this is exactly what that ticker on the Live Feed page says:

"The live feed will be off until Tuesday evening. We appreciate your cooperation. Please enjoy the highlight commentary in the meantime.

The houseguests were made to get up earlier than usual today and not long after the feeds went dark, they were set up with tie-dye t-shirt stuff. So if the houseguests are having fun with arts and crafts tonight when Big Brother After Dark airs, you're likely watching footage taped earlier that day, presumably before the next houseguest was evicted.

As Big Brother Network points out in their report, pre-taping Tuesday's episode and shutting the feeds off gives production an extra day to work with between evictions. And that makes sense. If the first houseguest has already been evicted today, the Final Four could be playing for Head of Household right now or sometime later tonight. They could do nominations and the Veto competition between tonight and tomorrow and be ready for the next eviction by Wednesday.

So, why not do a double eviction? This is just speculation here, but this late in the game, it seems a bit underwhelming to see someone nominated and evicted within the span of twenty minutes. Plus, the Final 4 Veto competition is crucial and really shouldn't be a "Dig something out of a ball pit" competition.

So, in all likelihood, the episode we'll be seeing tomorrow night, which will reveal the Final 4, will be pre-taped. Wednesday night's eviction, which will bring the House from four to three, will be live.

Derrick

Barring a miracle that would save him or else some serious change of plans, Frankie will be the next houseguest evicted. As of the feeds going dark, that was the plan anyway. Things can always change though, so we won't know for sure until Tuesday night.

Cody won the Power of Veto, and he chose not to use it, leaving Victoria and Frankie on the block. Frankie has been anxious about being on the block, and he's had some conversations about that, but as of this morning, they hadn't told him he was going. Caleb, Cody and Derrick weren't entirely set on when to tell him, if at all. But they haven't been told of the two-evictions in two nights schedule of events, so I don't think they knew someone would be evicted before Wednesday night.

There has been some speculation and debate over whether or not there will be a double eviction this week. They've done the math and know that the Rewind means there's one extra person in the house. Two need to go this week in order to get them to Final 3. It's just a matter of when and how, and they didn't have all of the information.

If they're told that the eviction is happening today, then that may affect whether or not the guys tell Frankie he's going before it happens. Even if they're not told ahead of time (Julie could just pop up in the monitor and call the Houseguests into the living room), they may figure it out beforehand. Regardless, if Frankie had some last-minute strategy to save himself, his time to use it was much shorter than he realized. Still, nothing is guaranteed until the votes are cast.

As for Wednesday's eviction, assuming Frankie does go Tuesday night, Caleb can't play for Head of Household. If Caleb doesn't win the Veto, there's a good chance he'll be the next to go. While it's impossible to know exactly what each houseguests are thinking, as everyone has to be really careful with their strategies at this point, so close to the finale, conversations between Cody and Derrick suggest they're on board to target Caleb, despite assuring him that Victoria will go next.

Of course, it's entirely possible Cody and Derrick are both saying they're targeting Caleb just to give each other the impression they're not targeting each other. But really, if that were the case, they could just say they're targeting Victoria. Why risk Caleb finding out they don't want him in the Final 3? So I'm inclined to believe Derrick and Cody are planning on taking each other to the Final 3, along with Victoria. If Derrick, Victoria or Cody win the Final 4 Veto, Caleb's probably walking out the door. I just can't see them sending Victoria out when they have a chance to eliminate Caleb.

If Caleb wins the Veto, it's anyone's guess, honestly. On one hand, he might be serious in wanting the three guys to go to the Final 3. On the other hand, I can't imagine why he'd do that, unless he's convinced both Derrick and Cody would take him to the end. I don't know why he'd be so sure of that, other than maybe he doesn't know how close Derrick and Cody are, or that all of his competition wins make him less appealing of a Final 2 candidate. Or maybe he's just so sure he can beat them that he'd rather go to the end with his alliance members than with someone who's an easier competitor. Regardless, touting himself as "Beast-mode cowboy" all season and making a big deal about competition wins has left him with a pretty big target on his back.

While anything can happen, I'm betting on Frankie being evicted during tomorrow night's episode, and unless Caleb wins the Veto, he goes next. If Caleb does with the Veto, he decides who goes, and it seems like he'd send Victoria out, but I'm not entirely confident on that prediction. We'll see.
