Those of us who have been looking forward to the second season premiere of Fox’s animated comedy Bob’s Burgers have only to wait a few more weeks for the series’ return. Fox released a new promo for the season, which paints Bob as the hero-type, though he seems to be in some kind of pickle.
There’s a sort of weirdness to Bob’s Burgers that I happen to find hilarious. Perhaps it’s my appreciation for awkward humor, food-related puns, and bullhorns that make fart noises but something about the show works for me, which is why I’m eager to see the series return, and also anxious over figuring out how I’m going to cram this thirty minutes of comedy into an already over-stuffed Sunday night’s worth of television. I like the hero vibe, and there may be just a hint of beer commercial in there for seasoning. Bob’s Burgers returns with “The Belchies” on Sunday, March 11 (8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
