Boss Season 2 Cast Video And A Photo Of Kelsey Grammer Posing As Mayor

Set to return for its second season later this month is Starz' Boss, which has Kelsey Grammer playing the role of Chicago Mayor Tom Kane. Starz released a really great photo of the actor posing similarly to one of Chicago's former mayors, along with a video featuring the cast of the series as they offer hints about what's ahead for their characters and the series.

First up, we have this photo, which has Grammer watching the Chicago skyline and was inspired by a photo taken in 1966 of former Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley. The perspective is the same as the original photo, however the skyline has changed a bit from then to now.

As for what's ahead for Season 2, the video below features Grammer and his costars (Connie Nielsen, Sanaa Lathan, Jonathan Groff, Tip Harris, Kathleen Robertson) and Executive Producer Dee Johnson talking about the series and Season 2, which is described as "very, very juicy" by one castmemeber…

There's definitely a note of tension to the footage we're being shown, and it's going to be interesting to see where things pick up for the returning characters and how the new players fit into this game.

Boss Season 2 premieres August 17 on Starz.
