The writers of ‘Lost’ have added a new character to the mix. Brazillian actor Rodrigo Santoro (even his name is sexy) has been added to the ‘Lost’ cast list. Who is this delicious mystery character? Writers refuse to give any clues. As long as he’s not a surfer who catches a huge wave and ends up on the island, I really don't care.
The network wants to keep the character’s details a secret for now so that viewers can meet him and get to know him on the show when it picks up in the fall. If you’re looking at his picture right now and trying to remember what you know him from, he was the guy who Laura Linney falls for in Love, Actually and the motorcycle guy in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. While neither of those roles were all that noteworthy (he could’ve been credited as “hot guy with the sexy accent” in either film), he has received critical acclaim for a Brazilian movie he did called Behind The Sun.
Earlier in the month, executive producer Carlton Cuse said they would be upping the sex-factor on the show this season. Who will this mystery man end up with? Kate? Claire? Kate and Claire??? ‘Lost’ starts up again in October with six new episodes then wont come back until February with the remaining 16 episodes. In the meantime, rent Love, Actually if you want to get a better look at Santoro with his shirt off.
