Bridesmaids' Wendi McLendon-Covey To Return To Modern Family

Modern Family already has a number of guest stars set to arrive or return to the series at some point during the remainder of its fourth season. Among the newcomers are Elizabeth Pena and Billy Dee Williams, and among the returners, we'll be seeing Elizabeth Banks and Nathan Lane on the show. Joining the latter group of actors who have appeared before and are making a return is Bridesmaids' Wendi McLendon-Covey.
McLendon-Covey appeared on Modern Family earlier this season, playing Pam, one half of a same-sex couple who are the parents of one of the kids that goes to school with Cam and Mitch's daughter Lily. TVLine reports that Pam will be back (with the return of McLendon-Covey) to reprise her role as Cam's "lesbian nemesis". Michaela Watkins, who plays Pam's partner, will not be returning.
From what TVLine reports, Pam returns when Cam and Claire team up on a house renovation/flipping project. She gets involved with the project, and from McLendon-Covey's comments on the role, it sounds like we might be seeing her with a hammer in her hand. She was funny in her original appearance, so it's good news to learn she'll be back.
McClendon-Covey has a number of comedy roles to her name, most notably, one of the bridesmaids in Bridesmaids. She's also appeared in Rules of Engagement and is set to return to the CBS comedy for a few more episodes at some point after the series returns (February 4) for Season 7.
Modern Family returns Wednesday, January 9 at 9:00 p.m. on ABC.
