CBS 2011 Fall TV Premiere: Person Of Interest
CBS has a few drama series joining their primetime line-up this fall and among them is Person of Interest, which stars Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson. The series, which has J.J. Abrams among its executive producers, follows two men who team up to prevent crime, vigilante-style.
I’m of the mindset that when it comes to TV, super-hero stories actually work better with a bit a bit less super, fewer capes and costumes and more reality, with relatable characters. I’m less intrigued by a show that features a man or woman in spandex rushing around saving the day as I am two regular people doing it, finding ways to make their town/city a better place by preventing crime. Person of Interest sounds like it could be a great non-super hero story. The idea of a presumed dead former CIA-agent and a rich guy teaming up to prevent crime has a sort of super-hero flavor to it while also being more or less grounded in reality… more-so than if they were running around in capes, anyway.
Here's CBS' synopsis for the series and further down is a behind-the-scenes video...
Person of Interest will air on Thursday (9-9:30 p.m.) on CBS starting Fall 2011.
