CBS Announces Series Renewals, See What Made The Cut

CBS renewed more than a dozen TV series, which join the previously renewed The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. Not all of the network’s shows made the list, but it looks like most of the network’s Monday night comedy line-up will be left intact.
CBS made the announcement today that they’ve renewed a number of series, including NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, The Good Wife, Mike & Molly, and of course, 2 Broke Girls. No surprise there, given the new comedy series’ strong ratings. Here’s the full list of comedies, dramas and unscripted series set to return next season...

According to TV Guide, talks are in the works between CBS and Warner Bros. on the fate of Two and a Half Men. And absent from the list are CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, Unforgettable, A Gifted Man, Rob, Rules of Engagement and NYC 22, which doesn’t premiere until next month. I suppose it’s possible some of those shows could receive late pick-ups. CBS may be waiting to see how things look on the pilot front before they make final decisions on the remaining comedies and dramas.

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies.
