CBS Tell Viewers to Watch Couric

CBS News promoters apparently decided that the direct approach would work best when attempting to get people to tune in to Couric’s evening news debut in September. The promotional slogan that’s supposed to convince all of us to tune in? “Just Watch.”. One can assume that CBS is banking on Couric’s name to draw in viewers and probably figures nothing more than “just watch.” needs to be said.

Later on in the summer the network plans to have more in depth ads running on their channel as well as on other networks. In the meantime, Couric is touring a number of cities doing opinion polls in preparation for her new job.

A new studio is being built for Couric and should be up and running by the time she begins her new job as anchor on September 5th.
