CW 2011 Fall TV Premiere: Ringer
Sarah Michelle Gellar will make her return to the small screen this fall in The CW’s Ringer. The series follows her character Bridget, a woman who witnesses a murder and attempts to hide out by taking on the identity of her estranged twin sister. Drama!
Ringer brings Gellar “back” to the network that was (kind of) home to the beloved Buffy the Vampire Slayer (back when The CW was The WB and UPN). Looking at the premise and the videos, there’s a sort of soapy flavor to Ringer, which is fitting for Gellar as her pre-Buffy work included a regular gig on All My Children. I’m sure plenty of people will tune in for Gellar or because they’re intrigued by the story of a woman getting a “fresh” start by taking over someone else’s life.
Below is the CW’s full synopsis for the series and further down are some videos.
Ringer will air on Tuesdays (9-10 p.m.) on The CW starting Fall 2011.
