CW Prepares To Bring Back Shows This Spring

Now that the strike is over, everyone is wondering how long they’ll have to wait before their favorite shows return with new episodes. If you’re a fan of The CW’s The Game, One Tree Hill, Smallville, Supernatural, Gossip Girl and/or Reaper, get ready to mark your calendars because the network will be bringing them all back this spring.

As for Life is Wild, according to the Hollywood Reporter, not only is Wild not returning this spring, but there’s a good chance it wont be picked up for a second season. Another show that wont be returning is the soon-to-be-cancelled, Girlfriends. The Reporter stated that producers of the series are in talks with the network and studio to put together a retrospective show that will wrap up the series, which has been on the air for eight years.

Here’s the schedule for the premiere date for the return of some of The CW’s series:

Everybody Hates Chris - Sunday, March 2nd

Aliens In America - Sunday, March 2nd

The Game - Sunday, March 23rd

One Tree Hill - Monday, April 14th

Smallville - Thursday, April 17th

Gossip Girl - Monday, April 21st

Reaper - Tuesday, April 22nd

Supernatural - Thursday, April 24th

The premiere date for Farmer Wants a Wife has yet to be announced but it will probably air sometime in April.

Kelly West
Assistant Managing Editor

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
