The Cape Preview: NBC's New Superhero Drama
Next Sunday, NBC will premiere the heavily promoted new action-drama series The Cape. We have some specifics on the premise as well as some clips from the premiere for you to check out.
The Cape takes place in the fictional Palm City and follows a cop who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit and forced to go into hiding while he attempts to clear his name. He takes on the the persona of his sons favorite comic book hero The Cape and sets out to fight evil. There’s a chance this show could be really great… or it could be a complete mess. Either way, it definitely looks worth checking out. Plus, it has James Frain (True Blood) and Summer Glau (Firefly), so it has that going for it right out of the gate.
Below is NBC’s description for the series and further down are some clips from the premiere.
The Cape Two-hour premiere airs Sunday, January 9 (9-11 p.m. ET); Encore premiere: Monday, January 10 (9-11 p.m. ET) after which the series will air Mondays on NBC (9-10 p.m. ET), beginning January 17.
