Cedric To Debut In New Pilot
Comedian Cedric the Entertainer is getting ready to roll audiences in the aisles again with a new half-hour sitcom to debut on ABC. While the comedy is still without a title, Cedric recently signed the deal with the alphabet network along with ‘Bernie Mac’ creator Larry Wilmore.
The pilot will showcase Cedric as a security chief at LAX who must balance his work life along with raising a presumably precocious teenage girl. Not to mention deal with the security fluctuations based on that always reassuring color coded Homeland Security threat level thingy. Let’s hope in this new sure-to-be-wacky sitcom means Extreme LOL.
Cedric has been awful busy lately living up to the Entertainer part of his name. He appears regularly on Comedy Central staple The Daily Show. Recently he starred in the HBO special Cedric the Entertainer: Taking You Higher. Hear him next as voice in the upcoming Charlotte’s Web with Dakota Fanning, and see him in Code Name: The Cleaner set to premier in theaters next year.
