Check Out The Full Trailer For Syfy's Alphas
For those of you still stinging from Heroes' long, tragic slide into decraptitude, as well as the recent cancelation of No Ordinary Family, Syfy's Alphas may be your last, best hope for a good super-hero show. Or, it could just suck. Either way, you can get a brief new look at it courtesy of the first full trailer for the show, which has premiered over on Entertainment Weekly's Inside TV blog.
From the look of the trailer, Alphas is taking the same "no capes/no tights" approach Heroes did, trying to tackle the subject of superheroes from a more grounded perspective. The show certainly has some comic-book street cred, since it was co-created by Zak Penn (with Michael Karnow), whose resume includes The Incredible Hulk and a story credit on X2. Of course, he also wrote Elektra and X-Men: The Last Stand, so this could go either way.
Alphas premieres Monday, July 11th at 10/9 c on Syfy. You can check out the trailer and stills of the cast below.
