What the hell is up with Smallville? I go away for a stint in gaming news and one of my most favorite guilty pleasures has gone and gotten itself worse. And now there’s a video preview floating around that shows Clark essentially revealing himself to the world.
In the episode “Infamous” Clark will blatantly display his powers in public after being threatened by Linda Lake. Twisting the Superman mythos Lois will write a story about Clark’s powers, finally explaining that red and blue blur. I don’t see why they would need to do this at the stage Clark’s life is supposed to be at. They might as well have Clark fight Richard Pryor at this point if they’re going to manhandle the story.
And here I was getting so hopeful that now the show is moving forward with the Superman origins plotline like freight train. I can’t help but feel disappointed. The only way the writers could make it worse is if it’s a dream sequence, or Clark makes out with the world to cause them to forget. There’s always the option of spinning the earth backwards to make it all OK again too. At this stage I wouldn’t be surprised by anything.
Oh Smallville, how deep you cut me.
