Common Law Preview: Michael Ealy And Warren Kole Star In USA's New Series
Fans of Michael Ealy will be able to find the actor on the big screen this weekend in the Tim Story directed comedy Think Like a Man. And next month, USA will premiere their new series Common Law, which has Ealy playing one half of a detective partnership that's on the rocks and needs some couples therapy.
Premiering Friday, May 11 at 10/9c on USA, Common Law stars Ealy and Warren Kole as detectives Travis Marks and Wes Mitchell respectively. The partnership is suffering from the "seven-year itch," which has resulted in them being sent to couples therapy to sort out their problems. Jack McGee (Rescue Me) plays their captain and the man responsible for sending them to therapy. Meanwhile, Sonya Walger (Lost) is Dr. Ryan, the therapist trying to help them resolve their conflicts. Check out the cast photo below...
We'll have a review and more information about the series coming to you as the premiere approaches. In the meantime, USA recently released this trailer, which gives us a look at Wes and Travis' relationship and some of the comedy and drama ahead for these two.
It looks like Common Law's going to fit right in among USA's other original programming, with its blending of comedy and drama, and focus on charming, quirky characters who don't get along but have to work together. There's definite potential for a show like this.
