Community Preview: Basic Lupine Urology Includes Law, Order And Some Bad News
After watching last week's "Virtual Systems Analysis" episode of Community, it occurred to me that Community seems to exist within its own dreamatorium. Every Thursday night at 8:00 p.m., it enters a little room and - through great writing and on-screen talent, as well as an elaborate device made of cardboard tubes - it becomes whatever it wants it to be. Based on the clips from this week's episode, it's becoming Law & Order.
You really have only to be aware that Law & Order exists to see the connection between Community and NBC's long-running police/legal procedural in these clips from "Basic Lupine Urology." From the music, to the title, to the tone, it's clear that Community is paying homage to the series. Here are the clips, and afterward, we have additional spoilers, including the official episode description, which reveals some bad news!
Spoiler alert!
Correction: We shared the description for Course Listing Unavailable in error. Here is the episode description for Basic Lupine Urology, airing 4/26:
And for those who want to look ahead... (More spoilers!)...Here's what's happening next week in Course Listing Unavailable...
Earlier this year, rumor had it that someone from the show was going to die. It looks like next Thursday night's episode (May 3) is the night. Who will it be? See if you have any guesses after reading the episode description:
I'm still betting on Star-burns. Although, it could be Leonard. I don't want it to be either, but those are my guesses.
