The Corey Boys To Do Sitcom
Corey Haim and Corey Feldman are names synonymous with ubiquitous wasteland that was 80’s teen-age filmdom. I bet that’s the first time you’ve seen the words “ubiquitous” and “Corey Feldman” together without the irony. Anyway, Tv.com has got the story of how RDF Media is reuniting the pair for their own improv sitcom (you know, the ones where the actors make up stuff as they go along. Like ‘Laguna Beach’ only not vomit-inducing. And yes I know that show’s neither a comedy nor good). RDF Universal executive vice president of development (a pompous title if there is one) Greg Golden has gone on record as saying the two “are a nostalgic treat for people of all ages.” Right. I’m sure both the Lawrence Welk and Napoleon Dynamite generations are just itching to see the return of the duo who got punked out by Jack Bauer in The Lost Boys.
Earlier this year the two appeared as themselves on an episode of ‘Robot Chicken’. That’s probably what got this whole ball of hair gel going. Previously the boys could be found doing such masterpieces as Demolition High and Bikini Bandits And yeah, okay, Corey Feldman was Mouth from The Goonies, but Sean Astin was in that movie too and what has he done lately? Played a dick and got killed off on ‘24’, that’s what. Word.
