Dallas returns tonight for its anticipated second season with a two-hour premiere. The latest promo for the series' return focuses on the drama ahead, and also reminds us that this is Larry Hagman's final season, as the actor who played J.R. Ewing passed away during the production of the second season. Vague spoilers ahead!
Hagman's final season is only part of the focus of the trailer below. It begins with the words "Backstabbing. Greed. Seduction. Murder." Sounds like Dallas! Check out the promo below.
"…And this time, the Ewings aren't just after money and power. They're after each other."
There's certainly plenty of drama to look forward to as the series returns, but the Hagman footage at the end was especially great. A few weeks after we learned of the passing of Larry Hagman, came word that his character J.R. would die in the series, and that his send-off would take place during Season 2. Fans of the actor and his iconic character will surely want to tune in to see how the series concludes his story arc and how J.R.'s death will affect the series.
Dallas premieres tonight (Monday, January 28) at 9:00 p.m. ET on TNT.
