David Anders Coming To Heroes?
It looks as though ‘Heroes’ might be adding another ‘Alias’ veteran to their cast. Rumor has it that former ‘Alias’ bad-boy, David Anders might be joining the cast of ‘Heroes’ next fall.
Kristin Veitch reported in her blog at eonline.com that reliable inside sources connected to NBC told her Anders was in final talks with ‘Heroes’ to play a character named Kane. She went on to say that the deal isn’t set in stone though so we’ll have to wait and see.
Anders played an evil spy in the J.J. Abrams created series, ‘Alias.’ The Oregon-born actor sported a very convincing British accent in that series. Hearing him speak in an American accent will probably somewhat disconcerting for ‘Alias’ fans, at least at first. Sort of like when Jamie Bamber (‘Battlestar Galactica’) or Hugh Laurie (‘House’) do interviews.
Veitch didn’t report whether or not Anders’ character will be a bad-guy but if the character’s name has anything to do with it, he probably will be. Anyone familiar with the Old Testament knows the story of Cane and Abel (Cane killed his brother).
The other former ‘Alias’ star currently starring in ‘Heroes’ is Greg Grunberg, who plays Matt (the mindreader).
