Deception Series Premiere Full Episode: Watch It Here And Vote In Our Poll!

NBC premiered one of their new Midseason dramas last night. Deception brings us into a murder mystery as a detective returns to the wealthy home of her childhood best friend to try to uncover the truth behind her death. For those who haven't seen it yet, watch the series premiere here! For those who have, check out the promo for what's ahead and vote in our poll!

Here's the series premiere episode in its entirety.

On the surface (and by the promos), Deception appears to be another drama about wealthy people with a lot of personal problems and controversy. But one of the things I really like about it is that the lead character, Joanna (Meagan Good), is sort of one of them and sort of not. Having grown up as Vivian Bowers' best friend, she was almost a part of the Bowers family, but since she distanced herself from them in her adult years, she has an outside perspective on them now. And now she's back with the Bowers, secretly investigating her old friend's murder and finding herself drawn back into the drama. The personal attachment to and history with the family adds an interesting layer to the series that I really hope continues to develop. That's hinted in the preview below, which teases what's ahead in Season 1…

"You were there, you saw it all, all you have to do is open your eyes."

Joanna's personal ties with this family could be the key to unraveling the mystery of Vivian's death. Or they could be her undoing if she ends up getting caught up in all of it. She'll probably have to find a balance between those two things in order to get the answers she needs.
