Deception Trailer Teases NBC's Soapy New Drama Starring Meagan Good
NBC's new promo might just sum up what we're going to get from Deception with the sight of a beautiful woman's dead body, revealed to us as words like "sex tape" and "naughty girl" are spoken and read. Joining the likes of Scandal and Revenge among network television's soapy primetime offerings is Deception.
In less than a week, NBC will debut Deception, a drama that stars Meagan Good s Detective Joanna Locasto, a woman who returns to the wealthy home of her childhood best friend Vivian to investigate her death. The new promo for the series focuses on who Vivian was and what's become of her.
Much in the way Revenge had Emily nosing her way into the family that destroyed her father, it looks like Deception will also focus on a woman who is trying to work her way back into the folds of this wealthy family in an effort to figure out what happened to her best friend. Things are likely to get especially dramatic and complicated from there, which is where the show could get really great (or hard to follow). We'll have to wait and see.
In addition to Good, the cast includes Victor Garber, Laz Alonso, Wes Brown, Tate Donovan, Katherine LaNasa and Ella Rae Peck.
Deception premieres Monday, January 7 at 10/9c on NBC.
