Defiance Character Photos Show Us The Humans And Aliens In Syfy's New Series
Coming up in April, Syfy's Defiance will premiere, along with the video game which will interconnect the world between two mediums, for those TV viewers who also also manage to find time to do a bit of gaming. And for those of us who prefer one over the other, we hear the series and video game will work independently enough so that you aren't required to follow one in order to follow the other. That's thinking a bit ahead though. For now, what we really have to look forward to is a sci-fi series on Syfy.
The character photos released for the series make it very clear that we're dealing with science fiction here. The drama is set on earth where humans now live with seven other unique alien races. They're all trying to get along and reform society in the transformed landscape. As you can see in the cast photo below, St. Louis, Missouri is the backdrop for Defiance's story - or the new version St. Louis, now known as Defiance.
From left to right: Tony Curran as Datak Tarr, Jaime Murray as Stahma Tarr, Julie benz as Amanda Rosewater, Mia Kirshner as Kenya Rosewater, Grant Bowler as Joshua Nolan, Stephanie Leonidas as Irisa Nyira, Graham Green as Rafe McCawley.
Syfy has given us an even better look at the characters (and fantastic costumes and make-up!) with some individual (and paired up) photos of the humans, aliens and possibly even hybrids that make up the ensemble for this exciting looking series. Check them out in the gallery below!
Defiance premieres April 13 (9-11 p.m. ET) on Syfy.
