Dirty Sexy Money Halts Production
Uh oh. Production on ABC’s new show, Dirty Sexy Money, starring Peter Krause, has been shut down. Michael Ausiello reports in his blog that several sources have confirmed that the new show’s production has been stopped for a couple of days to do a little "fine-tuning". That might not bode well for the success of the show. It hasn’t even aired one episode yet and already it needs “fine-tuning?”
Ausiello also states that the production will not be delayed immediately, but rather after production wraps on the fifth episode. Does the delay have more to do with ABC higher-ups or is this a sign of behind-the-scenes problems? I would be curious to see if there is a noticeable difference in the show, after the fifth episode airs. Well, actually I wasn’t planning on watching this show to begin with, but after this news comes in, I might check it out.
Dirty Sexy Money is not the first ABC show to stop production during it’s freshman year. Ausiello says that both Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty took similar time-outs during their first season of production. Those are both successful ABC shows, so maybe this little break will turn out to be a positive for DSM.
Whatever happens, Dirty Sexy Money will premiere September 26 on ABC.
