Do No Harm Trailer Shows Us A Surgeon With A Reckless Alternate Personality
Joining NBC's line-up next January is Do No Harm, a drama that will brave the Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. time slot, following in the footsteps of other promising series in recent years that, unfortunately, didn't fare so well in the post comedy-block hour. Whether or not Do No Harm manages to break the pattern set by shows like Prime Suspect, The Firm and more recently, Awake remains to be seen.
Do No Harm stars Steven Pasquale as Dr. Jason Cole, a neurosurgeon who's battling with an alter-ego named Ian who comes out at the same time every night and wreaks havoc over Jason's life, only to disappear back into his mind in the morning. The latest teaser for this Jekyll & Hyde-like series does a nice job of covering the basics of the set-up.
Jason's a doctor by day, and a completely different guy at night. And sometimes that guy parties hard and recklessly spends money on really expensive cars. I suppose that's a perk or hazard of having an uncontrollable alter ego. You wake up the next day with all sorts of weird charges on your credit cards (or cars in your garage).
In addition to Pasquale, Do No Harm stars Alana De La Garza, Michael Esper, Ruta Gedmintas, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Phylicia Rashad, John Carroll Lynch, and Samm Levine, who we saw in the trailer taking orders from Jason to cancel his credit cards.
Do No Harm premieres Thursday, January 31 at 10:00 p.m. ET NBC.
