Dracula Series Gets Two Gorgeous New Cast Photos
Just in time for Halloween, Dracula descends upon us, courtesy of NBC. The network released two new cast photos for the series based on the classic vampire character, which show off the gorgeous setting, costumes and of course, the characters of this period piece, which centers around the mysterious Dracula, played by The Tudors' Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The story is set in Victorian London, where Dracula arrives posing as an American entrepreneur looking to introduce modern science to society. In the photo above, you can see Dracula seated in the chair. Just behind him is Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones), and standing to Dracula's right (third person from the left) is Thomas Kretschmann, who plays Abraham Van Helsing.
Here's the official description for the series:
And here's the other cast photo released.
While the photo at the top doesn't offer any clues that Dracula is a vampire, the second one does offer that hint as we see Meyers with his mouth just inches from the neck of Jessica De Gouw, who plays Mina Murray and Ilona in the series.
NBC also recently released this behind-the-scenes look at the making of the series, which is shot in Budapest. It shows off some of the beautiful scenery and costumes, and also teases the story, including some fangs and blood:
Dracula premieres Friday, October 25 at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC, following the season premiere of Grimm.
