The Duchess Of York Wants To Be On TV
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, continues her love affair with America, this time targeting a reality show of her own. After winning awards for producing The Young Victoria, the original Fergie is hoping she can use some of her influence to help out middle America.
That's a nice change from most celebrities who'd rather that flyover country didn't exist at all. If only they could catch a cab from LA to NY and be there in a few hours. "I want it me going round (in) middle America," Ferguson said. "I want to go out and see what the needs are, and then the audience has to challenge me ... to go and fix the school in Boise or get another restaurant in Allentown."
That's about as detailed as she got with Reuters on the subject. She expressed interest also in a follow-up film on Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, and a possible TV series following the exploits of their nine children. With The Tudors wrapping on Showtime this season, maybe it's time to look to another era in British monarchy history.
