Earl Wants To See You In Prison
For years, James Brown was dubbed (probably by himself) the hardest working man in show business. Apparantely, he never met the ‘My Name Is Earl’ marketing team. Whoever is in charge of coming up with groundbreaking and interesting ideas to promote the show seriously must be working eighty hour weeks. Earlier this season, the Jason Lee vehicle had there own little homage to John Waters’ Odorama with a “Laugh N Sniff” episode. Now, producers are supplying viewers with the opportunity to create their own prison photos.
That’s right. Click over to NBC.com to create your own E-cards with varying haircuts, prison outfits, and hats. We here at Cinema Blend aren’t ordinarily big fans of linking to network produced online content, but this is actually really cool. Besides, it’s Friday. What the hell else were you going to do to slack off at work today? ‘My Name Is Earl’ has already been renewed for another year. So, expect plenty more of these special marketing campaigns next season.
Make sure to briefly turn off your pop-up blocker. It’s important. Besides, in that hasty time frame you may win a free iPod! How can you beat that combination?
