Edward Norton Hosts SNL: Watch The Highlights Here

Edward Norton hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time last night. The episode had some great moments, starting with the cold-open, which took a jab at Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius and the glitchy healthcare enrollment website. This was followed up by Norton’s opening monologue, which included a few celebrity guest appearances. And those were just some of the highlights. We also have the Wes Anderson horror spoof, and a weird but funny Halloween sketch.
First up, we have Kate McKinnon playing Kathleen Sebelius as she attempts to address the American public on the glitches they’ve been having with the healthcare website. Have you tried rebooting your computer?
And then there’s Edward Norton’s opening monologue, which comes complete with an appearance by SNL veteran host Alec Baldwin, and a drop-in from Miley Cyrus.
The women joined forces for an Autumn’s Eve parody commercial that was kind of douchy if you ask me…
Enjoy the moves and facial expressions in this Ruth’s Chris sketch, which has a bunch of virgin waiters talking enthusiastically about how they’d do it… when they do it…
And then there’s Edward Norton discussing what he has in store for trick or treaters this year. It’s weird, but in that good John Malkovich Night before Christmas reading kind of way…

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way). She graduated from SUNY Cortland with BA in Communication Studies and a minor in Cinema Studies. When she isn't working, she's probably thinking about work, or reading (or listening to a book), and making sure her cats are living their absolute best feline lives.
