Do you love the 80’s? Well mark your calendars because Friday, September 1st will kick off Encore’s second annual “Big 80’s Weekend”. Beginning at 8 pm, the network will be airing non-stop 80’s goodness and it’ll go on all through Labor Day Weekend. Who else should play host to such an event than a B-list 80’s icon like Curtis Armstrong (aka “Booger” from Revenge Of The Nerds
Along with hours and hours of classic 80’s movies (you know, like the one about the two guys who drag a dead guy around a beach for the weekend or the one about four guys who bust ghosts?), there will also be live performances at the Viper Room by Jane Wiedlin (of The Go-Go’s), Martha Davis (of The Motels), Thomas Heath of Tommy Tutone and Peter Byrne (of Naked Eyes). VJ Alan Hunter will interview Papa Roach, Devo, Toto and others. VJ Mark Goodman will mix it all up with a blend of 80’s pop culture ranging from news, movie trailers and classic music videos.
