Endemol Checks In With FourSquare For Reality TV Show

In news that’s only slightly more exciting than the possibility of Angry Birds being adapted into a movie, Endemol is apparently looking to develop at TV series that incorporates FourSquare.

According to Variety, Endemol (Big Brother, Deal or No Deal) has formed a partnership with FourSquare and is looking to develop a reality TV show using the popular social-networking application. It will most likely be an Amazing Race kind of show with some kind of competitive element.

FourSquare is an application usually used on mobile devices where people can “check in” with their location and post it to their Facebook or Twitter page to let people know where they are and what they’re doing. Variety posted that FourSquare processes over 1.5 million “check-ins” per day.

Maybe when they get an actual premise for the series locked down for this deal, it’ll grab my interest but right now, the thought of a FourSquare-related reality TV show is about as exciting to me as knowing you’re at Bed, Bath & Beyond picking out new sheets.
