Extreme Couponing Preview: Dumpster Diving For Coupons

If you’re going to go diving into dumpsters to find coupons, as the woman in tonight’s episode of Extreme Couponing does, it’s probably a good idea to stock up on body wash.

I’ve often wondered how some of these extreme couponers manage to obtain enough coupons to be able to purchase a cart full of certain items at discount prices. Tonight’s episode reveals Desirae’s method of coupon collecting, which involves climbing into a dumpster to score some deals. You'll see some of that in the clip below. It’s extreme to say the least and has me wondering if maybe asking someone at the store to set them aside for her might not be a better tactic. Perhaps that’s not an option, though.

Desirae’s weekly dumpster dives allowed her to build a stock pile of over 2400 household and grocery items occupying her spare bedroom. She jokes that she will never run out of deodorant, shampoo or body wash and ironically will never stink.
