FX's Justified Close To Renewal For Season 3

The news is not official yet, but as of last night, things are looking very good for the FX drama series Jusitified. Word is, the series is very close to getting picked up for a third season.

According to Deadline, FX execs are “pretty happy” with how the drama series Justified has performed in its second season on the network and they are close to renewing the series for Season 3. Deadline speculates that the deal might be closed by next Tuesday when the cast is set to appear at the network’s upfront party.

Justified is a drama series that stars Timothy Olyphant, who plays U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, a modern-day lawman with an old-school approach to handling law enforcement. The series’ ratings were up from Season 1, which is certainly good news.

Given the news that FX cancelled freshman series Lights Out yesterday, it’s good to hear things are looking good for Justified. We’ll keep an eye out for any official updates on the series’ fate.
