Falling Skies Confirmed For Comic Con Panel

The Comic Con news that was once trickling in now seems to be trickling a bit faster. It's not quite a flood yet, and we might not expect it to be until SDCC announces each day's full line-up of panels and those of us planning to attend begin the nerve-racking process of trying to figure out how we can attend all of the panels we want to attend, which - for any fan obsessed with more than one comic, TV show or movie franchise - is virtually impossible, though I like to think that if they invent a workable time machine, time-turner or teleportation device, Comic Con could get a whole lot less stressful for us. Those Falling Skies fans set to attend SDCC next month won't want to miss the Falling Skies panel set to take place on Friday, July 19.

TNT announced confirmation today that Falling Skies will return to SDCC for a panel Q&A, autograph sessions and an exclusive look at what's coming up for the series. Set in the aftermath of an alien invasion when man is attempting to resist the control of said aliens, the series airs during the summer and is currently amidst its third season. But the time Comic Con takes place next month, there will still be a few episodes to go and things should be going into overdrive as the drama builds toward its season finale. So the timing seems great for a panel to showcase the drama and give fans a tease of what's in the cards for Noah Wyle's Tom and the other characters.

The SDCC Falling Skies panel will feature series stars Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Colin Cunningham and Sarah Carter. Also in attendance will be executive producers Remi Aubuchon and Greg Beeman. Rounding out the panel is sci-fi fan favorite and series guest star Doug Jones. Speaking of sci-fi fan favorites, Moderating the panel is none other than Wil Wheaton.

Falling Skies airs Sundays at 9:00 p.m. Here's a thrilling look at this Sunday night's episode, "Search and Recover."

The mechs won't be the only aliens featured at Comic Con this year. Earlier today, we shared details about the Ender's Game panel set to take place in Hall H at SDCC. And on the TV side, Comic Con attendees might want to check out the panels for Teen Wolf, Hannibal, Psych, Revolution, Supernatural, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a number of other already-announced TV series set to be featured at the convention. We'll continue to update you on other panels that are announced for SDCC this year.
