The Family Tools Preview: J.K. Simmons And Kyle Bornheimer Star In ABC's Midseason Comedy
Among the new comedies headed to ABC is The Family Tools, which the network has set to premiere Midseason 2013. Based on the U.K. series White Van Man, could The Family Tool finally be a winning comedy for star Kyle Bornheimer? It may be too soon to tell, but check out the information and video ABC released for the series ahead.
This isn't the first time Kyle Bornheimer's starred in a series, but things didn't go so well for Romantically Challenged, Perfect Couples or Worst Week. Hopefully he'll have better luck with The Family Tools, which has him starring alongside J.K. Simmons as the two play father and son. I've probably said this before, but I'll give anything with J.K. Simmons in it a chance. And it features King of Queens' Leah Remini
Not having seen the series on which this is based, it's impossible to compare them, but as a comedy, The Family Tools look like it could work. I like the cast, and I'm also intrigued by the guy who's grossed out by feet, and appreciative that the show found a way to incorporate some toe webbing humor into the mix. I'm choosing to feel optimistic that things are going to work out for Bornheimer this time around.
ABC has The Family Tools set to join their Tuesday-night line-up in January 2013.
