First Promo For The Comedy Central Roast Of Charlie Sheen Parodies Dr. Strangelove
This could be it. I can't imagine Charlie Sheen being able to suck much more out of his meltdown/career yet I also can't imagine a more fitting way for the notorious warlock to go out... like they say, it's better to burn out than to fade away. I'm sure there will be more than enough burning going on with the amount of fodder Sheen has provided for the roasters. It's shooting fish in a fish tank (no one puts fish in barrels anymore... do they?).
It was announced two weeks back that roast-master extraordinaire Seth MacFarlane will step up to the podium and host this most momentous occasion. He's only done it a few times before but has definitely emerged as the Billy Crystal of the roasting hosting world. Just watching him on a panel at Comic-Con showed that he's perfectly tuned to do live, spontaneous stand-up.
The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen is set to take place on September 10th, with an airdate of Monday, September 19th at 10:00 p.m., the same night that Two and a Half Men will return for its first season without Sheen. Yes, the era of Sheen vs, Kutcher has begun. The only question is what is more humiliating, being roasted by the Comedy Central team or becoming a cast member on Two and a Half Men? Besides the ridiculously large paycheck I'm sure Mr. Demi Moore is collecting, somehow I think that Sheen's coming out on top.
Check out the Dr Strangelove parody promo for the roast. Even though they're defacing my favorite movie of all-time, I guess it works pretty well.
The Roast of Charlie Sheen: Dr. StrangeSheen...
The Roast of Charlie Sheen airs Monday, September 19 at 10 p.m. on Comedy Central.
