Thank god Flash Forward came out of the gate strong. Can you imagine the fan uproar had ABC canceled it before we even got to the big payoff on April 29, 2010? For those who don't know, the whole point of the show is that everyone in the world passed out for two minutes seventeen seconds and had a simultaneous vision of the exact same moment on April 29, 2010. Now that ABC has picked up Flash Forward for a full season, we're at least guaranteed to make it to that day.
The series is doing a great job of revealing not only plenty of possible futures, but mysteries about the past. It’s not as complex as Lost, but then again Lost wasn’t as complex as Lost in its first season. In fact, I’m already anxious to get to the end of the season so we can see what they have planned as a follow-up for next year. Have everybody black out again? Alien invasion crossover with V?
Everyone passes out on April 30, 2010 and wakes up right after the first blackout again, and has to relive the next half-year over again, doing things differently this time? Doing things right!
