The Following Preview: Fox's Creepy New Thriller Starring Kevin Bacon
The good news is, Fox has a pretty exciting looking thriller series coming our way, ordered with a side of Bacon. The less than good news is, it looks like we'll have to wait until 2013 to see it. Based on the trailer, we could be in for an thrilling ride with this series, which comes from Kevin Williamson.
Williamson's writing credits include The Vampire Diaries, Dawson's Creek and Scream, which would make you think this series was going to be teen-focused. However, with the exception of the serial killer's targets, which appear to be college-age girls, The Following appears to veer away from young-adult territory as the story focuses on an FBI agent who's brought out of retirement to track down an escaped serial killer.
As you'll see in the trailer, it looks like Maggie Grace (Taken) is back in a victim role, playing the one woman who managed to survive the serial killer's attack eight years ago…
It's great to see Kevin Bacon in a starring role on a network TV drama. And The Following looks like especially creepy and not like anything else Fox has going for it. It looks like Fox has this set up to air on Monday nights come next year, which could mean it's a replacement for The Mob Doctor, unless the network is already thinking of shelving Bones again in January…
