Fox ADHD Animated Series Axe Cop Gets An Action-Packed Preview At Wondercon
Back in January, we learned that Fox was set to introduce some late night comedies to viewers for their Animation Domination High-Def block, which debuts this July. Not long after, we got our first introduction to one of the series with a preview for Axe Cop, an action-comedy based on a graphic novel from the minds of Ethan Nicolle and his five-year-old brother Malachai Nicolle. Fox debuted a new preview at WonderCon this weekend, which gives us a better look at the kinds of danger and adventure Axe Cop will be facing.
Unsurprisingly, the Nick Offerman-voiced character is obsessed with his mustache. That alone is reason enough to tune into this series, which joins Dino Stamatopoulos' (Community) new series High School USA among Fox ADHD's planned offerings.
What else is there to know about Axe Cop, besides that he has an axe and an amazing mustache? He survives on just two minutes of sleep a night and lives off a diet of birthday cake and nothing else. His loyal partner is Flute cop and the two exact vigilante justice on villains the world (or possibly the universe) over. The series is well stocked with an excellent cast of voice actors, including Megan Mullally, Patton Oswalt, Ken Marino, Peter Serafinowicz, and guest stars that include Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito and Jonathan Banks, Rob Huebel and Dan Harmon.
Axe Cop will premiere Saturday, July 27 when Fox airs the debut of their ADHD line-up at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. More information on Fox ADHD can be found at FoxADHD.com.
