Fox Renews House For Its Eighth And Possibly Final Season

If you’re a fan of Fox’s medical drama series House, there’s good news and bad news. The good news is, Fox announced that they’ve renewed the series for Season 8. The bad news is, there’s a chance the eighth season of the series will be it’s last.

Fox Broadcasting’s President of Entertainment Kevin Reilly made the announcement on the series renewal today, stating:

““Over the past seven seasons, HOUSE has redefined the medical drama and has given us one of television’s most compelling and iconic characters. From the producers to the incredible writers to the unbelievably talented cast and crew, the HOUSE team is fearless in its creativity and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next year.”

Fox didn’t say that Season 8 would be the last season, however Deadline is reporting that series star Hugh Laurie told U.K.’s Radio Times, “The end of (the eighth) season, right now, looks like the end of the show.” He went on to say that that’s “as far as they have got me for.” Deadline also reports that House creator David Shore is expected to return for Season 8.
