Raising Hope, one of the few new shows of the fall season that even resembles a hit, was an obvious choice for renewal when Fox made its big announcements in front of the Television Critics Association today. Still, that doesn't mean the fans are going to be rejoicing any less at the news that was confirmed today, with Fox picking up the show for a full second season. Creator Greg Garcia had a statement in the press release that was both funny and self-deprecating:
“I’m happy that the show is getting another year. But the fact that I’ve been trying to think of a funny quote for the last two hours and this is the best I could come up with makes me a little nervous about Season Two.”
New episodes of Raising Hope start airing again on February 8.
